We are excited to announce a modified Representative Programme for 2020. COVID-19 has altered our original plans of a full and extended representative calendar almost deferring the entire tournament season to 2021. Lead Centres in the Netball Central Zone have been working hard to plan tournaments that can provide a representative experience for players this year.

Hawke’s Bay Netball will host one team in each age group this year only, however, should there be a need to increase this may be discussed. Teams are​; Senior Women coached by Irene van Dyk, Under 18 (female) coached by Briar Chalmers and Under 16 (female) Co-coached by Cheryl Pohlen & Jamie Richardson.

Due to the unique structure this year, selections will also be different. Selections for each age group are stated below:

Senior Women:

Coaches from HB SUPER 8 and HB Club Premier grades will nominate eligible players from their team, players will then be watched during competition and selected to attend a closed trial. The final team will be selected from this trial.

Under 18:

Coaches from HB SUPER 8, Unison SUPER 12 and Secondary Senior Premier will nominate eligible players from their team, players will then be watched during competition and selected to attend a closed trial. The final team will be selected from this trial.

Under 16:

Coaches from HB SUPER 8 and Unison SUPER 12 aswell as; Secondary Senior Premier, Senior 1, Senior 2 and Junior Premier will nominate eligible players from their team, players will then be watched during competition and selected to attend a closed trial. The final team will be selected from this trial.

Potential players playing outside of these grades will be identified on a case by case basis.

All three teams are planned to compete in a Representative Tournament, hosted by Netball Manawatu. Closed Trial information will be released in the coming weeks.
